Mission
Strobe NJ brings artists and art lovers together.
The Collective is not a gallery or store and does not sell art. Think of it as a conduit that connects artists to potential markets. Along the way, we broker group discounts on services artists need and offer the know-how of a team of communication and marketing experts who guide artists in their own promotional initiatives – including photographers, writers, videographers, designers, web and social media developers and other communication professionals.
We organize exhibitions to give South Jersey visual artists opportunities for public display and special events to further education and professional development.
The website showcases a diverse catalog of juried member artists and their work; empowers artists to make connections with buyers, vendors and other stakeholders; and serves as a virtual meeting place where artists can share resources, debate the issues and express opinion to policymakers and funders.
History
Established in 2018, Strobe NJ is a program of ArtC, South Jersey’s grassroots engine of arts promotion and advocacy.
Since its founding in 2011, ArtC has become the go-to for arts promotion and marketing in the region and earned the trust and respect of the artist community. ArtC was spearheaded by Bill Horin, a commercial photographer, videographer, publisher and TV show host who has actively worked to promote the arts in South Jersey for decades.
ArtC was the culmination of that dedication, a group of creative storytellers and businesspeople who put their skills and experience to work to promote South Jersey’s professional artists. With stellar photography, writing, video and design, ArtC raised the bar on quality in arts promotion.
